Music for Chorus

Composed between 2015 and 2016.

Kathryn Harlan-Gran is a northern California based poet and long time friend of mine. During my last few years in high school, I became increasingly interested in setting poetry to music and saw in Kathryn's work many profound nuances that I felt were optimal to being set in music.

I began setting this poem of hers and went through three or four different attempts for various ensembles before finding choir to be the most fluid interpretation of the poem.

Mass for Eight Voices

Composed between 2016 and 2017.

Mass for Eight Voices began with a work I completed for my final composition project in the fall of 2016 at the University of Miami. The first part of the mass, the Kyrie was adapted from this piece.
The Agnus Dei was written for the Miami chapter of ACDA. The rest of the Mass is still being completed.

I. Kyrie
*II. Gloria
*III. Credo
*IV. Sanctus
V. Agnus Dei
*VI. Amen
